Calvin Walsh started Unity Foods by distributing proteins to food carts in the downtown Portland area. Food cart owners quickly realized their time was better spent growing their business rather than trying to source their own products. They also found they were receiving fresher products – delivered while maintaining the cold chain. Over the years, Unity Foods has brought on more types of food and non-food products, and expanded its customer base into larger brick and mortar restaurants and chains.

Today we are a full service restaurant distribution company, currently serving large sections of Oregon and Washington. Even with rapid growth we have never forgotten our roots. Unity Foods prides itself for its commitment to customer service, quality of products, and professionalism.
